Overview
A down-to-the-walls renovation of a 23,000-square-foot building on West 6th Street for Heartland Community Health Center. As fee developer and owner representative, Alcove secured Industrial Revenue Bonds for the project and oversaw a rebuild in which everything but the original walls and concrete floor was tailored to the clinic's needs.

I had the pleasure of working with Alcove Development and Dustin Baker on Heartland’s new facility at 1312 W. 6th St. in Lawrence. Alcove was involved in this project from beginning to end and provided invaluable guidance and expertise throughout the project.
Dustin managed the entire development and construction process and ensured there was excellent communication between the design team, contractors, building owners and Heartland. He truly made it easy! Our project was completed on time and within budget and as such, Heartland now has a beautiful, state-of-the-art medical facility with 36 primary care exam rooms, 6 behavioral health rooms and 14 dental operatories.
